i am having major problems with fi about my bridal shower. he seems to think a bridal shower is all about the grroms family having it to meet everyone. but i say its the brides mom and bridesmaids role. he thinks the bridal shower is not about the bride but about the families coming together.

no you're right. Bridal shower is usually given by the brides mom and bridesmaids. The rehersal dinner is when the families come together....which is usually hosted by the groom's family. Hope this helps.

I agree. The bridal shower is 'suppose' to be for the women - friends and family. Unless you have a jack and jill and then it's everyone

Bridal Shower is for the Bride but I've noticed alot of people lately are including the groom. I guess it's however you want it to be. Mine if I have one wont include the groom

Bridal shower is all about the bride 'HENCE THE NAME' as a good friend of mine would say-I agree that the engagement party would be the proper setting to use as a meeting of the families!!!!
