Someone please put me at ease

I HATE the dentist. like hate it. ugh, my stomach turns even going.

I have to go get a root canal tonite, and I'm so scared - I have no clue why, but I'm like ready to cry.

I have to leave in 10 minutes - someone calm me down please I'm all clammy and sweating

don't worry, you can do it!!! once you get there and are numbed to the pain you won't feel it at all!!

Melissa - I'm really about to cry. lol. I have this thing about people in my mouth and I'm really scared its going to hurt.

Think of something else!!!

I hate getting cleanings - I just concentrate on my breathing and don't pay attention to what their doing.

Maybe you can bring an ipod and listen to music? To drown out the sound of the instruments?

You will be ok! I would suggest taking motrin or advil before hand so that by the time the novocaine wears off it won't hurt. I had an infection when I got my route canals so I think that's why it was so painful for me but the planning ahead worked well. Good luck!!!

the dentist is one of things you just have to do, think about how you look after, everyone wants a beautiful smile!!!!

just breathe, go, and ask for the good stuff to numb the pain and it will be over before you know it!!!!!

It wasn't as bad as I thought. I'm just very numb. I can actually say, I really like this dentist. I just went to him for a checkup a couple weeks ago, and today he did the root canal - but he did put me at ease and made sure I felt nothing. (If anyone is looking for a dentist, FM me)

However, I slightly resemble quasimodo right now do to excessive amounts of novacaine But I'll take it over pain.

Anyway - now back to studying and having FH take care of me Later girls
