I guess when it rains, it pours.....
My cousin (MOH) emailed me and told me that she won't be able to afford to get her hair and makeup done by my girls, even though I offered to pay for half. Originally she said she would be able to, but she's having financial difficulties (from what I understand will also affect the outcome of my shower) so she now won't be able to.
This now means I will have to find another hair and makeup artist 2 months before my wedding and who DOES NOT have a minimum.![]()
Right now I only have 2 people for hair and makeup, and the minimum is 3.
Then, my brother called to see what dates I'm not available because they're planning the baby's christening. And he tells me 'you really picked a phucked up time to get married, it's not convenient for anyone with all that's going on.' Gee thanks, way to make me feel better with all the crap I've had to put up with!! I had to remind him that I was shooting for October, but because of HIM telling me they had a wedding in September, I changed it out of courtesy. Meantime that wedding got cancelled!! I have brought up to FH about postponing our wedding, but he keeps saying no, that too bad it's inconvenient, that anytime we pick will probably be inconvenient anyway.
Ugh someone please tell me it gets better!!

people told me that getting married early Saturday afternoon is not conveneient for them either - I'm like - whatever - like there ever is a convenient time to go to a wedding - you just get yourself there and thats it!!!

many of my family members discouraged the date DH and i had decided on. but because it was such a meaningful date, i wouldnt budge. everyone got over it and it did get better. dont worry all will be great!!

Like I told my fiance, 'If people care about you they will be there!' It should be considered an honour to be invited not a task. If you don't want to come stay home! I only want people who truly care about my fiance and I to be there. Good luck and try not to stress. ![]()

Thanks ladies for all of your support.
So you don't think it would be rude of me to pay for her hair and makeup in lieu of another gift? I already got the girls earrings and bracelets, but I was also going to get them all spa certificates in addition to paying for half the hair and makeup if they get it done by my girls.
I can't afford to do both for her, so should I just pay for it so I have my 3rd person, or get a gift and find someone else?

She charges $50 for you alone, but if you're having more than one person she'll charge $40 pp. If you're interested her name is Theresa Wittman and her # is 586-0105. A wedding tends to bring out the worst in people and it is safe to say that you cannot please everyone, so you shouldn't try. If you tried to plan around everyone else, you would never get married. You will find that people just like to complain and stirr things up, but in the end they will manage to make your wedding a priority. It will get better. ![]()
