Someone STOLE my wedding shoes!!!!!!!!!!
You will never BELIEVE what happened to me yesterday!!!!!!!!!
So... My shoes were finally done... I had the heel cut down so it wasn't so tall, I had the front stretched so it was more comfy, and I had them dyed to match my dress after I had the seamstress cut off a piece of the inside of my dress! So... I pick up my shoes at Jildor (If you aren't familiar with this place, they also sell $500 prada shoes, etc... ) So anyway, I pick up and try on my perfectly cut, stretched, and dyed shoes... go out to the car with my mom and put them in the trunk of her car. But at first her car remote wasn't working so we had to manually unlock the trunk and the button that originally wasn't working must have stuck and worked after we walked away, popping open the trunk just a little. Well... some pyscho crazy lady must have witnessed this whole thing and STOLE MY FREAKING WEDDING SHOES!!!!!!!!!!!
**So then.... I had to go back into the store, buy a brand new pair, leave them there to get cut and stretched, was going to have to go back to Carle Place (After they were going to have to take my dress out of storage to cut another swatch) and then wait a couple of weeks while the process was repeated. So the store owner on his way out to his car after work ran into a woman that works in the shopping center (Woodbury commons!! NOT a shady shopping center at all!) and told her the story about this poor bride who had her wedding shoes stolen, etc etc... and she gets into her car (which happened to be an identical version to my mom's car and was parked 3 spots away) and is driving home and looks next to her and what happens to be sitting in her car??? MY SHOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She hadn't locked her car doors and when this crazy psycho opened up the box of shoes expecting to hit jackpot with a $500 pair of prada shoes, found nothing but a dyed pair of wedding shoes with a bridal reflections card with my fabric swatch stapled to the front, must have realized that she can't do anything with them and hopefully felt pretty crappy about what she just did, and decided to throw them in that car!!!!! So my mom and I came home and had a drink to drown our sorrows, and then got the call from the owner of the shoe store and had a celebretory drink!! hahaha They hadn't altered the new shoes yet so he said when you come in to pick up your original shoes we will just credit your card back!
Just thought I would share this crazy story with you girls because I still can't believe it happened!!!!!!!
