Someone told me this weekend that

Someone told me this weekend that

I look 16. Compliment or insult, I ask?

Then someone told me she had a feeling I was already pregnant.

I hate bridal/baby showers.

Compliment. Because the other person was jealous. You look fab, they look flab.

I think all of the evil people who have children already like to curse the happily married with children as soon as possible so that you can join them in the carpool of misery.

Only childless babyhaters like you (us) think that way.

I almost vomited. I can't even afford to finish furnishing my home, much less care for a baby. Plus I am afraid of babies. I kid thee not.

I can't afford to finish furnishing my home either. We can't even afford shades for the windows at this point.

Hopefully no one will be loking inside - and if they do, I'll scare them away with my frightening baby!!!

Compliment.

Was it followed with 'You look like Marcia Brady?'

no, a smirk that I did not like. Stupid ho.

I would have taken Marcia Brady as a compliment. We all know she was the hot sister.

Re Looking 16: Insult. I get it all the time, HATE IT!!!!

Re Looking PG: Insult. It's a joyous time but when you're not, it's never a good thing to hear that you look like you are.

Clearly this b!tch doesn't like you very much.

It was two different biatches

The second one was more saying I was giving off the 'I'm with baby' vibe than actually looking pregnant.

Old bedsheets work well in a pinch.

Your baby will not be frightening, it will be beautiful in all it's LipGloss glory.

And, as to the OP, it was meant as a compliment. I get that a lot, too. A friend of DH's family asked me (jokingly) if I was still in HS. Do I want to look like a 16y.o. kid? No. But if it means that when I'm 60, I'll look 46 and super hot, I'll take 16 for now.

I fear I will jump straight from 16 into old people wrinkliness. I think it is the lack of boobs. The A cups fool people every time. Once I get my boob job, I will be pushing 21

I get the 'you look so young' thing too. And that is my take on it. Vic gets it too.

It's better than being told, 'You should have a kid now. You're not getting any younger you know.'

I don't get the 'you look young' thing because, well, I don't. How old was the person saying it anyway?

Yup, I think the same thing about going straight from looking 16 to looking 60. And I also blame the lack of boobage. It's sad that I sometimes have to shop in the Girls department so that clothes fit tight, show off what I've got, and thus look older.

When I went for my final fitting the seamstress said I looked like I was receiving my First Communion. I would've killed her but I didn't want to get blood on my pretty new dress.

Take it as a compliment. Everytime I went into Bridal stores they asked me if I was shopping for my Sweet 16 or Prom. I loved it!
