somerley brides i hearddddd.....

last night i met with there house dj body rock and loveddd them but they also told me that in the somerley there installing lighting around the rooms and puttin in tvs so since its already going to be installed they wont have to charge as much! were meeting on monday to talk more about prices but im soo excited about the lighting thats going in!

I'm not sure when it'll be done they said they started a few weeks ago doing lighting...and tvs I'm not sure where there going...the showcase was at jerrico terrece and there tvs r in the wall but if there not on u don't see them n he said its gona be like that I think...I hope they don't go crazy I don't want it to look like a sports bar! And they never told me they were planning on changing anything so I'm no sure??

Exciting!!! I heard this awhile back, but no one knew when it would be complete, but it was one of the upgrades they were going to do to finish the room. I know they are also going to be landscaping, and heard they were changing the wall paper in the cocktail room and re-doing the bridal suite bathroom.

I was there a few months ago and I was told that the lighting was almost done. I guess this isn't the case. I also was told that they are going to be redoing the entrance to the room...anyone know about this?

Do you mean the main entrance?

Do you know what they put up on the TVs if you don't have a package that involves TV? I think having TVs there with nothing on them is ugly. Do you think they do something?

I was there two weeks ago putting down my initial deposit and they said the plans to change the entrance are being decided on by the town as we spoke. They said it would take several weeks to do. I didn't mind since our date isn't for another year! They said the are planning on making the entrance into to cozy cigar lounge area instead of where it is now. So if your looking at it from the parking lot it will be shifted to the right .

I heard about the new entrance too . The said that they hope to move the entrance door to the left of the fire place in the room down the hallway and have a car-port so when guest for the Somerley room arrive they go to the back for parking and it covers the rest of the parking lot. They also said the lighting would be done soon as well as TVs but were not specific in details.

Anyone know of someone have a ceremony in the room anytime soon? We will be getting married in the Somerley room as well as having the reception and never seeing it done yet I have nightmares. So I'd love to see the room set up for a ceremony because curiousness is killing me :)

Yea I'm geten married in the room also and dying to see pics!! And see how to wall goes up for cocktail hour...btw you stole my date! Lol I wanted may 12th but it was taken so finally we meet lol

Thats too funny! I jumped on that date like crazy because when we went the 12th was the only Saturday left in May

I feel like I've only heard of one bride so far in that room the rest are other types of parties- So I'm hoping we get to see more pictures soon!!

I'm thinking of maybe covering that one wall with the gate mural as I'm not a huge fan AND I'm also looking into the ordering flowers to my liking for the wall that goes up during cocktail hour so if I pay for those you'll get some use out of them too :) what are you thinking color wise?

right now I'm thinking navy (bridesmaid dresses) with white/ivory/creamy and peachy flowers

More hall twins!!! I saw the wall go up for cocktail hour, actually saw the room set up for the first wedding, it was beautiful! Its a white partition wall, thats about 7 feet tall and has planters in them that are changed according to the season. They wheel them out in a 'very choreographed way' according to my BM.

I thought there was a few other 2011 brides, besides the first one, but have yet to see any pics of their weddings, I really can't wait to all the pics from the weddings in the Somerley that are coming up.

Just curious...did FH say you can order different flowers for the partition wall? If we are allowed....thats something I would consider as well.

they said 'we haven't had anyone ask that before' and ' i know its not in the standard package of what we give' but when I ask PWP they said they didn't think it would be an issue.

I need to book an appointment with their florist to go over everything soon but i can't imagine them saying no -
I just think that the wall might be up when the ceremony is going on which means all guest would see the wall when walking into the ceremony and I want it all to be the same

When we booked on May 13 2011 they had flowers that I HATED in there so it made me nervous

I was at FH last week and they were actually installing the lighting then! You can pick the color that you want the room to be lit in. As for the TV's they said that there will be 4, 2 on each wall. I am excited because now we can save on lighting and the photo montage!

oh wow really? we went end off may and they offered us may 19th but we didnt want it because may 12th is our anniversary now but we went with may 18th because a fri is a whole lot cheaper then i thought!...what do you mean about flowers on the wall? ive never seen the wall up yet but flowers can be put there? im thinking i might not use there colums they give for the ceremony and put down flowers along the floor with candles....color wise were close! im inbetween an oasis color with ivorys and peaches! very victorian to go along with my dress orrr now i like this gray dresses i saw along with black accent belts....very hard decisions!

and for the tvs i think there not going to be noticeable that its going to look like a picture or somethin he said? so itll be inside the wall so if there not on theres not a tv in front of your face....i think all us somerley brides should go one night to ask to see how the room is set up so we can see and no more night mares!! haha
