and for the tvs i think there not going to be noticeable that its going to look like a picture or somethin he said? so itll be inside the wall so if there not on theres not a tv in front of your face....i think all us somerley brides should go one night to ask to see how the room is set up so we can see and no more night mares!! haha
Do you mean set up for a ceremony or a reception?

Re: somerley brides i hearddddd.....
The wall is definitely pretty and was designed specifically for the room. I have no idea if the wall would be up for the ceremony. I'm getting married in a church, but would love to see how they set up the room for a ceremony, I think it will look beautiful! Will your guests go straight to cocktail hour after the ceremony? Does that mean they will have the doors closed between the reception room and cocktail room while they set up? I can see why you are stressing!

Re: somerley brides i hearddddd.....
ahhhh i dont knoww!!! the prettyness of the room blocked everything else out! the way he made it seem was that the room is alll open for cermemony and thennn when they leave they put the wall up behind them so then we go to cocktail hour while they fix the otherside of the room....i hope the wall isnt up for the cermony bc when you walk in i feel like you cant see how nice the room is now im confused and need to call them! because i def dont want the wall up during the ceremony

Haha! I know what you mean! The room is gorgeous!!! I really cant see a reason as to why the wall would be up during the ceremony. The only thing I can think of is they may leave a portion of it up on either side so that way there is less for them to move during cocktail hour. I think it will still look beautiful. Will the ceremony be in front of the fire place? If so...that will be so romantic!!

Re: somerley brides i hearddddd.....
I am having my ceremony and reception there this november. My ceremony will also be in front of the fireplace.
What i was told is that after the ceremony is done the wall goes up to cover what was the ceremony space to be transformed into the reception space. The cocktail hour is in the lantin gallery room right next door and can spill into part of the somerely that isn't covered by the wall, which is basically where the bar ,your DJ/ Band is set up and a majority of what will be the dance floor for reception. After the cocktail hour, the wall comes down and all the tables are there.
I hope that helps.

Re: somerley brides i hearddddd.....
I am getting married there in Aug. 2012 and when I went they showed me the uplighting and it looks really nice. The tv's are covered by frames and you don't even know they are there. I am getting married in the room as well but wanted it outside and they said they can't. Is anyone having and outside ceremony there? Also who are your Dj's? I am having a hard time btw Body Rock, who owns all lighting and tv's and charges $950 for tv with zaps and montage and another $950 to change around the lighting. Seems kind of high. The other dj is Tommy Tunes. I just don't know if I need any more lighting other than what the room already offers... Help Jenn

I'm having the same problem as you...I have a hard time paying all that extra money for lighting! If the one color uplighting is included with the room, then I feel like that is all you need. The other lighting that BR installed is really nice, but I don't think a necessity. I would price out others and see what kind of lighting they can provide before booking with BR.

Re: somerley brides i hearddddd.....
Ya the lighting is def throwing me off. I don't want over kill but after seeing the video at Body Rock, I forget how much uplighting they have normally. Also is everyone that is using the Somerely also having the ceremony and cocktail there too. I was told that i couldn't do an outside cerm. bc I didn't book one of the other rooms. I also don't know if the lantern room is too small. It may be too late now. And what is everyone doing about the cake they include. I fell sooooo clueless!!!

Does anyone know what color options you have for the uplighting? All I ever see is the purple color, which doesn't really go with the 'look' I'm going for.

Re: somerley brides i hearddddd.....
They have several. What I can remember is purple, blue, red, yellow, white, and if you want specific colors then you can use Body Rock who own the lights and TV's. I am using them to Dj and got them down a lot to include lighting.
