Somerley Room

For any ladies who have gotten married or are getting married in the Somerley Room at Fox Hollow, does anyone know if they can change the area of the dance floor? What I'm thinking is having the tables all throughout the room and having the band on the wall with vines so that the dance floor is in the middle of the room instead of at the end. Do you think it's possible? Has anyone done this? TIA!!

Haha will do. I feel like the room is still soo new, that not many people have used it that we can ask.

The problem i see with that is if there are hook ups on that wall for your band to plug in all their equipment. I don't think they do.

They can have tables on both sides with the dance floor in the middle of the tables but i think that the area they have designated for the DJs/bands is where they have to go.

Do any of you gals have any information on the new cocktail room currently being constructed (for Somerley)? Our Banquet manager showed us some samples of the wall and fabrics that will go into the room, but that's about it. I believe he told us this room would be on the lower level (below our reception room) and done this fall. Did y'all get the same info?

you can move the tables to either make a middle dance floor or something like that he was telling us but I don't think the dj can be put somewhere else.

Really?! That's great to hear. My mom was really concerned about people not being able to see the dance floor. I'm going tomorrow for my final meeting if anyone has anything they want me to ask!
