There was one last year who posted a few times but she stopped. I dont know why- everyone was really welcoming.

well, since NY doesn't allow same sex marriages, i doubt we have any gay LIW brides ... well, unless they're planning to get married in MA or whatnot.
I'm so mad at NY for not allowing same sex marriages! Lesbians are people too!!!

There was one a few years ago that i knew of. Maybe more.
Many people plan commitment ceremonies in NY.
We need to change the marriage laws in NY state.

One of my good friends and her partner are getting married in CT next summer... she lives in LI... and keep trying to get her to join LIW.

I went to a fab commitment ceremony years ago on Fire Island. It was the most fun event ever. :)
