Something Old, Something New
I was just wondering where this saying came from. Does anyone know. I think it would be interesting to find out where all of these little wedding traditions came from.
I have heard that the putting cake on the face tradition doesn't represent the nicest things. Apparently, it represents a woman acting child like (she's usually first) and the man putting her in her place (kinda like smashing a dogs snout in its poop to tell her she is wrong.) Although there may be other reasons behind it. I thought this one made sense, even though it isn't nice.
