If you are married - do you do anything differently now that you are a wife? (Sandralynn says she pays more attention to her hair etc... so it got me thinking) And do you do it because you feel different now that you are married or because they are obligations now that you are a wife?
If you are not married yet, do you plan on changing anything after you are married?

I wear heels more. . . well, my flats fell apart, so I don't have much choice, but I liek wearing heels, I feel more pulled togehter- I feel like I should look more like an adult now, since I am married.

Re: Something SandraLynn said made me think...
I am doing more of the housework. I am not sure that it has anything to do with being a wife. My DH works 5 days a week 8-5:30 and then has school on Mon, Wed and Sat. I guess I am just trying to make things easier for him.

Honestly, I'm trying not to change anything! I didn't want there to be any sudden changes just because we are married. I guess I feel like things were great before, so why fix it if it isn't broke?

I don't do my hair and makeup as much as I used to, which I know is bad. But I DO cook dinner way more often and share in more expenses, so that evens it out in my warped brain!

I cetainly don't do it out of obligation!
I think I do it b/c I feel a bit different. We have lived together for a year, so it wasn't that we moved in together. Maybe the stress of the wedding and the preparations are over and that I am not working 6 or 7 days a week anymore and feel a bit more relaxed?? Also, I have been cooking more for him----and that is because I love him and I want him to be happy to come home? I want to be a good wife, friend, etc.....

I don't think you do it out of obligation. My question was if you changed anything and why. I also asked seperately if the 'obligation' that comes along with being a wife has to do with it - that's all - it wasn't directed towards you at all.

Re: Something SandraLynn said made me think...
I cook more now. I fret a little more about housekeeping where I didn't before, not as much anyway.
I also have been sleeping less, but I think that's due more to having just bought a house that needs work as opposed to being a newlywed....tho I think I would prefer it being due to the latter.

I did strict Atkins before my wedding. I was around 100 lbs up until I hit 30 yrs old. For myself, I could not allow myself to be 140 for my wedding.
Now that it's over, I've gone wild and gained back the weight. I wish I felt I had a *reason* again for self control but I tell myself, Oh you'll be pregnant soon enough so why bother trying to lose weight again?
