Something Special for FH

Is anyone doing something special the day of the wedding? Perhaps having the bestman deliver him a gift/letter or poem?

I am glad you asked this because I wanted to get you ladies ideas.
I was thinking of hiring a man to come in during the cocktail hour to hand roll cigars for my FH and our guest.

we decided not to do gifts because it would just be another expense. We are getting MARRIED... I think that is special enough. I will probably give him a card or something.... ITs also going to be way to early in the morning to have any one 'deliver' anything.

I bought my FH engraved locket cufflinks. I put a picture of his late father in there...and our dog that we put to sleep the day after christmas (he was supposed to be our ring bearer) ...but my fh wanted a special way to remember them during the wedding, I think he will love to have them so close.

Yes I did, I wrote my DH a letter and gave it to the best man the night of our RD. I asked him to give the letter to my DH on my wedding day which he did and my DH thought that was very special.

It's definitely a nice keepsake to have which he can read years from now and look back on our special day.

FH really did not want an antique limo so I rented him a 2004 Rolls Royce Phantom to pick him and his Best man to carry them to the church then we will use it as the Bride/Groom car....he will be sooooo surprised.

I'll be surprising him with bagpipers outside of the church, giving him a watch to wear the day of the wedding and writing him a letter.

We aren't exchanging gifts beacause our wedding is a big enough gift to each other. I will give his mother a card to give to him the morning of the wedding.....my words to him will be worth more then any gift. I just hope I get a card too.

I was thinking of writing him a letter and enclosing a special songs lyrics with the CD to have him listen to it. It was not appropiate to have as our wedding song but it is a special song to us.

I will be giving our BM a card the night before to give to him the day of the wedding, and I am surprising him with the cigar roller at the reception. He is going to love that!

Yes! I am actually having my brother do it (he is a GM) The best man is FH's brother and he is pretty nervous himself so I think he might forget...lol. I want my brother to give him a letter that I wrote to him and the gift I will be giving him. I want him to have at the church while he is waiting for me to arrive.

I'm getting FH a new set of golf clubs and having his best man deliver them to him...

ETA: Not that I think he even needs new clubs, but what do you get the man who already has cufflinks...
