son, mother song

We are still undecided about a good mother son song and only have 2 weeks to go! lol. Anyone have suggestions please. We are looking for something not so, sappy I guess. FH wants something nice but not sappy as he says. lol.

DH and his mom danced to The times of your life by Paul Anka.....it's a really nice song!!

I LOVE that song and wanted DH to dance w/it, but he didn't want to so we chose 'Its a Wonderful Word'.

that's a good song too!! it's funny DH swears he didn't know any of the songs that were picked, including OUR song!! he kept saying 'I thought we decided on that other one, by what's his name'...I said I have no idea who what's his name is!! sheesh! men!! they wake up at the end of planning (yea like your wedding night!!

i just listened to The Perfect Fan by Backstreet Boys. I googled mom/son songs and this one was on one of the websites. Its' actually a really nice song from a son to his mom. I've never heard it before. I have to play if for FH.

Then someone also suggested Simple Man by Lynard Skynard. Now I know my FH will love that because he prefers the rock type music, lol. But I dont know if his mom will like it. She had suggested I Hope You Dance by Leann Womack but I dont think its the right song. . its beautiful but not right for them. lol.

And one more I'll Be by Reba. Thats a nice one too. My FH is never going to be able to pick one. lol. I think all 3 are great. I dont know. lol. why is this so difficult, o i know why because my FH doesnt help and has no opinions. lol. But I love him. lol.

My FH is using Simple Man- but his band is re-recording it so it's not 'hard' sounding

my FH is dancing with his mom to Song for Mamma by Boyz II Men. The title sounds cheesy but it's actually a nice song!

DH and his mom dance 'Through The Years' by Kenny Rogers. Its probably sound sappy but if you actually listen to the lyrics you will know that its a good song for both of them

That is one of my favorite songs!!! FH may have chose that song if we hadn't already chosen Rascal Flatts for our first dance and our BP entrance. FH is dancing with his mom to You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban.

FH is having a hard time picking a song for his Mom also. He wants something that's from him to her instead of the other way around. I wish he could use 'Simple Man' but the lyrics say 'my only son' and he has brothers. I will download some of the songs mentioned tonight for him. It's hard because she didn't live with FH during his formative years (8-20's) and I think some of the songs out there are just too sentimental, you know? Like Through The Years would definitely not work.

We shall see.

FH and his mom are dancing to 'you are the love of my life' by carly simon. It is a mother / son song. She played it for me and I was in tears!!! It is great!!!

My brother danced to this with my mom almost 4 years ago... its a beautiful song, and my mom still talks about it and cries when she hears it!
