Song for when the guests are being seated at the ceremony
What are you using? Im thinking of using the slow version of Lets get married by Jagged Edge. What do you think?

I have no idea because the rehearsal lady WON'T RETURN MY CALLS.
I think it's going to be just traditional organ hymn type stuff or Greek chanting. We don't really get a choice, I'm lucky that they *might* let me walk to Canon in D (provided that it's done by the organ and no outside musicians).

I told them to play whatever.. .. as for programs, I didn't think about that.. hmm. Maybe I will just write 'prelude' and leave it at that!

I'm letting my FFIL decide all of that with his musicians but I'd like to hear some of it at some point before the wedding. I'm walking down the aisle to Cannon in D and he's gonna kill me but I want our processional song to be an arrangement of bittersweet symphony with the quartet but that means he's going to have to arrange 4 parts because so much of that song is synthesized yet it sounds gorgeous on strings. I still haven't told him that yet...oops

I played at a Greek wedding a couple of years ago, and they DEFINITELY let her walk down the aisle to Pache-hell. (Yes, musician humor.)

Oh, and I'm letting my friends who are playing for us pick this out. They have an uncanny way of knowing what works. . . It's good to be a musician!

I have ZERO clue about anything musically related to the church. I don't know what goes on. I don't know anything about these string quartets or any of it. I'm lost lost lost here.
But I will have some bagpipers for the outside of the church for before and after. I just don't know about during.

Re: Song for when the guests are being seated at the ceremony
That sounds more for a reception than ceremony. If you're doing your ceremony in a church or outdoors, most weddings are done with string music, something soft and subtle. I hired a string duo- violin & guitar for our outdoor ceremony and for the interlude, we played: 'Arioso' Bach, '100 Years' Five For Fighting, and 'You're Beautiful' James Blunt. I would recommend choosing something that's soft and calming in the beginning then hype it up for the reception. Or you can save the song for the cocktail hour also.

You made it difficult for me!! I didnt think about this!!! I will also allow the DJ and MC to decide it!! At that time I'll be taking pictures with my 'HUSBAND' and bridal party!!
