Songs

I've seen a lot of posts on here with brides worrying about song selections and stuff.

Take it from someone who's been at a million freakin' events, aside from the 1st dance, grand entrances, and parent dances, don't stress about the other songs. Chances are your DJ is going to play one of the songs that we recommend here as the last dance song (NY NY, time of my life, last dance). The cake cutting normally just has background music since no one will be up and dancing. The same goes with the Garter and Bo-k (Single Ladies is what's used a lot). You don't want to play a song that might take the attention away from what is actually going on (e.x., cake cutting).

Keep your 'must play' list at about 20 songs. Anything other then that starts to get overwhelming and honestly, ALL of them will NOT get played. The DJ will play a few but will keep the party going and use his own discrection when mixing songs. You will have about 4/5 dance sets, 60's/disco/motown, slow, current/dance, rock. This can change but this is the basic idea.
