Re: SONICSTEF-PLACECARDS
I am also doing one per couple. My hall didn't want to do them orginally pointing out all the negative aspects but I love them and really want to use them. I am going to print up a small sign 'Please take your placecandle to your seat' or something like that.

Re: SONICSTEF-PLACECARDS
Im not using MSWOrd but you can. I bought my paper in Manhattan at Paper Access. (I don't think I found a single thing that was wedding related in Brooklyn!)I have done them yet (just did the prototype) but I think I can fit 3 for each 8 *11 sheet although I bought enough vellum in case I can only fit two.
PS: Im not that busy at work...just when I get home :D

Re: SONICSTEF-PLACECARDS
ok, thanks! Are you doing them down or across? Is there a way you could email me your template or prototype? If not word, what program? What font are you using? Aren't I a pain? Did you write about your bachelorette??? I know what you mean about being busy at work vs home!!

Re: SONICSTEF-PLACECARDS
Im using a program called LivePix to do my wraps so sending you the template wont do any good.I think I have to do them horizontally because vertically they are just a tad too short. I will know this weekend.

Re: SONICSTEF-PLACECARDS
My friend bought it for me ages ago in a bargain bin. I have a really old version but I think Amazon sells the new one - although its probably not worth it for just this thing. If you come pick up the leaves sometime soon then I will print out one of my templates for you.

Re: SONICSTEF-PLACECARDS
Just wanted to come back and report that my votive placecards are all done! Yippee! But it was quite a project. It seemed to make sense that I could make a template using one but it just didn't work out that way. Every candle wrap needed to be cut individually which was a real pain. Thank goodness my MOH was helping me because I would have never finished otherwise.
I ended up using double sided tape which looks pretty good if done neatly.
Hope that helps everyone.

Re: SONICSTEF-PLACECARDS
They look just like the prototype I posted in another thread. Sorry - I didn't take a photo of all of them done but I will make sure one gets taken at the wedding. Right now they are all in marked boxes ready for the reception site.

Re: SONICSTEF-PLACECARDS
I am getting married at the Crest Hollow and I spoke to my banquet manager over the weekend about this idea. Unfortunately, they will not allow it. He said the insurance company has been cracking down and would not allow people to be walking around with lit candles.Welcome New Vendors
