i need to vent cause i'm super PO'd!!
so a group of us are planning on going to the haunted house in wading river--we do it every year--and the past 2 years my FH has had to work and couldn't go. like 15 of us were going , and we all never get to hang out together like that cause everyone is busy with school..careers..family..etc. (these are friends that i've known from as long ago as high school)
well this year my FH finally has this friday night OFF! he was so psyched to go and catch up with the 'old gang' and such. well i just got off the phone with him and he got NYPD notification that he must work OT on fri. night from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.!!!!!!!!!!!! FU*********K!
i HATE that they wait until like 3 days b4 to say 'hey you HAVE to work and have no choice in the matter' it always spoils our wknd plans. i mean i shouldn't complain cause it's OT and good $$. but i just hate that he misses this AGAIN!
FH and I like horror movies and scary things, and halloween is our fav time of year. (example: we spent a romantic evening last nite watching the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre on DVD!) so that's why this is making me so damn angry!

************UPDATE!!!!!!************
FH just got to my job (with food...thank ya je-sus)...and told me that when he got back to his precinctt for roll call at the end of his shift---he reviewed his OT sheet...and saw that he is already at the max of 35 hrs. for the month...and if he took the mandatory OT they just gave him for Friday--he'd go over and that is NOT good. (if you go over yout OT cap, you can get blacklisted and not get offered OT for months)
he pointed it out to his Sgt., and they said he doesn't have to work on friday!!!!!!
