tomorrow would have been my dad's 50th birthday, but he passed away in '03 and i'm soooo down today. i just can't get out of my head what a huge celebration we would've had for him because everyone loved him so much. my mom moved to fl last summer, fh never met him, and i'm an only child so i just feel really down.
i've been listening to kate voegele's 'hallelujah' for like 2 hours now and a little while ago my son pointed onto my face (like on a tear) and was saying 'this? this?' because he's almost 15 months and doesn't understand crying yet..aw
i'm usually very quiet about things but you guys seem so supportive of one another so i had to share xo

We are all here for you!!! Maybe try to do a special memorial for your dad. It would probably mean so much to the family.

Re: soo sadd
I know how you feel...it really never gets easier. My sibs and I celebrate by having dinner together on our mom's bday or mother's day and talk about her most of the time...old funny stories over our fave meal she used to cook... just to keep her memory alive, esp for the grandkiddies. Celebrate his life...keep him alive and fresh in your heart.

Re: soo sadd
Im so sorry. I know that a dad cant really compare to a grandpa but Im not close to any of my family really except I was to my grandfather and Im an only child as well whose never had any siblings or any family except him to be close with and he just died this December and Fh also never met him so I do understand what you are going through. Its very hard and Im not over it, nor do I think I every truly will be. Its okay to cry and be sad and In my opinion, the fact that someone is not around anymore will never really be believable. Its just so hard to grasp. I am going to say a prayer for your dad tonight.
