Sooo....

I was just attacked by a person who I think was mentally handicapped on the 7 train.

I was standing by the door between the cars, reading my book, minding my business when he comes over and shoves me out of the way. I moved but also said 'You could've just said excuse me.' He then turns around says 'Fcuk you' and hits me on the top of my head with his fist. But he wasn't done! He pulled his fist back to hit me again but I moved and he missed. Then this guy in a blue dress shirt ran over and pulled him off me. But the guy went NUTS! He started kicking and punching everyone in sight. So another guy in a Mets jersey jumps up and grabs him and they're trying to tell him to calm down. By then, we got to the Court St. stop so they decided since they can't subdue him, to toss him off the train. Well he didn't like that, he's screaming and kicking and flailing wildly. The guy in the Mets jersey was screaming back 'Are you effing crazy?! You just hit a girl and then all of us, you need to get off this train.' And the guy is screaming back 'I didn't hit her! I didn't hit her!' But they all clearly saw that he did without provocation!

They finally got him off the train and the doors closed. But thank god for those guys!!! I thanked them profusely, but thanks again guy in blue shirt and guy in Mets jersey- not only for saving my @ss but for being the only two people on a crowded train to jump up and help someone!!!

I know! I was so grateful to them. Poor guy in the blue shirt was all disheveled- he was a little guy, too.

But so was the guy who attacked me! I don't know if he was mentally handicapped, he didn't look it, but the way he spoke and the craziness of the whole thing makes me think that.

Wowww thats crazyy!!! I HATEE the 7 train- I walk 5 blocks out of my way just to avoid taking the 7 and I take the F now!

And yeah people these days dont help one another out-- you were lukcy there was at least those 2 guys to help you!

Wow Jill, I remember something like this happened in the fall when someone started trouble with you on the train, you can't catch a break! Glad you're okay, and yeah it's nice that at least someone would help you. FH's sister got mugged on the train in Chicago and the guys didn't even have a weapon, one just held her back and the other took her stuff, and no one on the train did anything to help her. I always said I thought it would go down way differently in NY and I'm glad for you it did!!

Yeah with that crazy woman!! I know it's partially my fault because I have to open my mouth and say something stupid, but that's no excuse!!! I've never raised a hand against anyone (except to that lady and she shoved me down the stairs and basically b!tch slapped me on the platform- even the cops said she was 'unstable'). But never in my life! I've never even been in a fight or anything. They seek me out!
