omg, how did I never see this?? haha sorry jessie!
ok, so i had a mini-meltdown with this damn trifle. lol
first off- thank you so much for posting the recipe - i was able to look it up on my phone on my way to the grocery store, so that saved me a trip
so i buy all of the ingredients, get home and realize i don't have a brownie pan. i call my sister and ask her to make brownies for me - no big deal
so she brings the brownies to my mom's on christmas eve...and christmas morning i set out to make the trifle. now, mind you, i don't own a trifle dish - i was going to build it in a glass salad bowl i have.
well, i go to cut up the brownies and they so gooey and raw in the middle - my sister didn't cook them long enough! so there goes the 1' sqaures lol, i just start crumbling it into the bottom of the bowl. then i realize the bowl is wayyyy too big and i would wind up having a 2' high trifle lol
ok, plan b- build it in the glass pyrex bowl i have...wayyy too small lol so i have pudding and cool whip 2' higher than the bowl, and i'm just praying that it won't lose form and start dripping down the side of the bowl.
so, after this fiasco, i go to my mom's house to open presents, and what do i get?
A F**KING TRIFLE DISH.
ps- it tasted great! haha

That just had me cracking up at my desk LOL
aww well at least you got to taste it. Well now that you finally have your trifle dish, next step is to go to BB&B, get yourself a brownie pan and then try again. It's a pretty inexpensive dessert to make... why not make it for New Years?
