exactly... obviously shes really good friends with the girl whose wedding shes in... while we might have been best friends growing up and her family is like my family... we have lost touch over the years... ive become closer with her younger sister than her... so i dont really have a leg to stand on to ask her to make demands of this other bride... but its still upsetting to me

Does the other bride even know about this situation? And how the BM/friend of yours is missing your wedding for pictures that could be taken on the day of??
I think it's a little overboard. I've never heard of anyone doing this. Is the bride going to put on a wedding dress and the groom his tux and all?? It's very off beat to me. What time are the pictures?? Are you sure there isn't something else that could be worked out? Time wise? Maybe she could leave from your wedding to go to the pictures (and her hair and makeup will alreade be done for the pics).

I probably shouldn't say this so openly... given the history and all

BUT I think... it's up to Jocelyn to make sure the bride knows. I think if the bride knew for sure and cared she could at the VERY least move the time back so that the pictures could still be taken and Jocelyn could still attend your wedding (even if she would have to leave a little bit early).

I really don't think it's too much to ask. If I were you I would DEF throw that out there to Jocelyn. Let her know that it's REALLY important to you to have her there at least for a portion of the wedding, seeing as though you guys were soooo close growing up. I mean it's not like hey... we were kindergarten friends who lost touch... you guys were friends from VERY young to at least late teen years to my knowledge.

i know i just dont want her to be the girl that causes drama for the other wedding ya know...

holy rock and hard place...

but youre right... it wasnt until we were in our 20s that we started to lose touch... we met in pre-k and were inseperable from then on...

i dont think you need to qualify and compare whose relationship is closer and better than the other's. the bottom line is that she has an option to attend a good friend's wedding or another good friend's picture session. Honestly, I think every non-bridzilla human being would agree that the wedding is way more important. im sorry she's doing this to you
