So this is where I wanna have my e-party in March. Thanks to Bonita and her fab ideas (she suggested we get t-shirts made up) - I think I'm going to use those t-shirts to ask my BP - something cheesy (I am VERY cheesy) like 'will you be on my team?'
Will you ladies help me with invite wording.. please help me... This is what I have and it's too cheesy, even for me:
Bowled over with Love
For Jennifer and Alfonse, we'll 'spare' no expense, Sunday, March 25th, the fun will commence. When the clock 'strikes' 7pm, the pins will fall, And you're invited to have a ball. Gag me with a spoon.
Thanks girls!

Jenn, I think that's an awesome idea and I love the t-shirt idea!!!! The wording for the invite isn't bad either... you're more of a poet than I am, that's for sure!

Just two small things - Excuse my English teacher-ness, but, well, I'm an English teacher! I think 'ball' at the end should be in quotes, because it's also a play on words. And I'd get rid of 'PM' to preserve the meter of the 2nd line.

Aww that sounds cute!!! I wish I though of this for my engagenment party. It looks like so much fun. And me and FH and my sis go bowling all the time. I even have my own ball and shoes. FH has a spiderman ball I got him for his B-day.

I heart Strike, my FH threw me a surprise 25th bday party there - nothing like drunken go-karting!

Thanks Dava, that's why I asked! Do you have any suggestions for the wording??? I can NOT send an invite like that out.....
Kim, it's TERRIBLE - it's me - you can be honest!!!

Jenn, look at it this way: if you're sending out an invite to a bowling party that includes plays on words with 'spare' and 'strike' etc... there's no way it's not going to sound cheesy. So embrace the cheese! Use bowling clipart on the invite. Maybe find a bowling scorecard and write your wedding date on it, stuff like that.
Jenn, Like Dava said... embrace the cheese! It's not fun without the cheese! Honestly, I like it, I think it's perfectly cute and perfectly cheese-tastic!
