so if some of you remember, FH & I have been having a hard time choosing a RH...
well, we saw the Bourne Mansion last weekend and I am absolutely in love and can't stop thinking about it! I look at photos of it everyday!
and this is the first hall that FH hasn't fought me on or said no
sooooo were going to see a select few more places this weekend, Vanderbilt, De Seversky and maybe The Woodlands...
FH says this weekend is the lastttttt time we're looking
PRAY for me girls that we make a decision after Sunday!!!
aahhhh and FH is thinking Oct 2010-- so crazy it's only 7-8 months away!

I like De Seversky but how many people are you expecting? If it's over like 125 or something, they have to do the reception 'European' style. Which basically means they can't fit everyone in one room so the band/dj goes in one room and the food is in another. I don't know about anyone else but I'm paying 8k for my band...they will not be in a different room than my guests!!!!! It's unfortunate bc I really like the place. Just thought I'd give you a heads up so that if that's out of the question for you you might spend your time looking somewhere else.

I don't know the exact cut off but I'd give a quick call if I were you. That way you don't waste your time and you can look somewhere else!

it's soooo hard! we've seen 10 places already! I'm poooped!
I always had my heart set on an oct 10 wedding... im worried about cramming it all in but the price is so much better for this year!

I was originally booked with Bourne but ultimately decided to switch to De Seversky, if you want to know details FM me. Also, I loveddddddd Woodlands and have been to a wedding there recently.

did you happen to see The Vanderbilt too?
we are waiting to see the vanderbilt this weekend and then hopefully make a decision!

didn't look at vanderbilt... think (when I did research) that it was smaller...
but the BOURNE is so pretty... stunning.. the only other place that we loved (since our original venue shut their doors - atlantica) was Oheka... Bourne is like oheka in being a mansion and the differnet rooms - has all the same charm at a MUCH better price!!!!

i think you can still do October 2010... just try to multi-task and look into your dress at the same time. you're getting close for some dresses for the ordering timeline (you could always rush the dress for extra $$ so no worries in the long run). no need to add in extra stress once you find the place you love.
