Sooooo, while my seastars are drying, let me tell you about,
my giggles fit, yesterday, at the Bridal Shop, when Debi had her last fitting!!!!! It was a dark day!!!!! .......... Because I was under her gown, trying to put her shoes on her feet!!!!! I also was trained in the bustling technique!!! First, take the sides of Debi's gown, and have her pull them around her; Next, take the train, and bring it up to her head level, allowing her to hold it. Start with the two white ribbons in the center of the gown, then do each side, matching the little blue, pink, and yellow thread dots, and tying all the matching ribbons together, tightly, and double tie them!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, dear!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope I'm up to the job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was also interesting, trying to figure out the best sequence, for putting the gown on, after hair and makeup. The seamstress said, that Debi should get on her knees, and the gals should put her slip and gown over her head, after her hair and makeup, but Debi and I think that might cause her hair extensions to pull out, or makeup to get on her gown, so we think she should step into her gown, then, gals help pull up and tie slip, then, help put the shoes on!!! I think someone should video tape this!!!!!!!!! It could be a training tape!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mary MOB

I would definitely need a training video for this... i too am worried about someone being able to do the lacing on the back of my dress right....

ok no zippers for me I had them removed... lacing is what is keeping this thing closed.... REAL WORRIED...

Debi has a zipper, (sorry about your laces!!!!!), but trying to remember where to find all those little thread dots, in that bouffant gown have me concerned!!!!! Mary MOB

Mary, you'll be fine...don't forget that the bridal attendants at the reception hall deal with these things all the time, so they should be able to help if necessary

Thats exactly what i was going to say! My bridal attendant did my french bustle in about one minute and she did it better than the people at the gown store did!
I think Debi should step into the gown too. Thats what i did. I sat on the edge of the bed while my mom and MOH slipped it under me and then i just stood up. Much easier!

Ha, you're cute Mary! That's funny...good job. I see a lot of girls in their pictures putting their dress on over their head. I think I'd be more comfortable stepping into it.
