It's been a while since I've posted and even before the wedding I didn't post but I didn't know what else to do.
My photographer called and said that my proofs were in. We called and asked about the fact that our guests never got the cards for the website and she said we should have gotten them the night of the wedding. Thats what I had asked the guy that night and he said no. So that pissed me off and when we got to the office I also told the women who was there that the photographer that night also left before the garter and bouquet toss and had us stage the cake cutting. She called him up and he made up some excuse about his camera not working right. If his camera wasn't working right then why did he ask before he left if there were any other pictures that I wanted? So me and my husband get home and look through the book of proofs and realize that everything after the moment we were introduced into the reception is missing. I have no pictures of my family and friends. There are like 200 pics missing and I can't get them back. They said they're looking into it for me but I know they're not going to find anything. What am I supposed to do? They think that upgrading my package is going to make everything ok.
Sorry this was so long. But any feedback is appreciated.

Maybe they can give you cash back so you can do a day after shoot with another photographer. It wont get your family photos back, but at least you'll have some closure.

Re: Soooooo upset......
Wow - I'm so sorry.
I don't think I would have 'staged' the cake cutting - I would have told the photographer that I want pictures of the real thing.
I don't really know what to say, but

They need to give you back everything you paid and if they dont you sue them. This is ridiculous what they did to you.

sorry you had this happen but dont give up hope, they could find the pictures, you never know..... as for the rest of future brides, you should let everyone know who did this so they can avoid your pain... again i am soooo sorry this happened to you, and no an upgrade package would not do for me either, i would want more from them!

Thats really too bad. Id be very upset as well if I were you. Do they have an office where you can go there in person and sit down and ask them whatthey will do about this? Is there anything in your contract you could show them that would make them refund you?

Re: Soooooo upset......
Do you know if he was shooting film or digital? Just curious to see if he ran out of film or really had a 'problem' with his camera. Either way you should definitely get money back. So sorry to hear this happened to you....

What was the name of your photographer (not the company)?

OMG I am so sorry. Did you have wedding insurance? If you did, it covers the photographer's incompetence!!

wow, that is horrible. hopefully they can find the 'missing' pictures. i cant believe your photog asked you to stage the cake cutting and then left early!
1. did you have a video? if so, they can freeze frame some shots and print photos from them
2. mima's day after shoot is also a good idea

Write a letter (the same letter) to the BBB and the Attorney General's office and explain everything as you just did here. Tell them that you would prefer to have your pictures, but if they somehow 'disappeared' then you want money back. I bet you after the Attorney General contacts the photog your proofs will suddenly appear or you will receive a check. The BBB will also get in touch with them. Believe me this works, I have used them on two separate occasions and they have resolved my problems.
