Ok, to answer a few questions that might make the episode better in a lot of eyes:
They showed the house at the beginning of the episode, to highlight what it was like without Tony there. The barbeque uncovered and and exposed the elements, the paper laying in the front yard because he wasn't there to walk down the driveway to go get it in his bathrobe. Even the bear was symbolic. The bear was attracted to the rotting duck food that has gone untouched since Tony moved out.
They left off in 2002, just like we did, and picked up in 2004, just like we are. So Tony and Carmela have been separated for over a year, Janice got married (ew).....they are showing time pass. Meadow's car was a disaster and not so pristene anymore....little things like that.
I'm glad the episode did what it did last night, not freezing it to that exact point where we left off. And, it reminded us of a ton of story lines that will be hopefully be wrapped up, the Pauly/Chris/Russian story line that I have a feeling will wind up with the death of one of them. Adrianna's talking never stopped, and it's going to bite her in the ***. The fact that Tony's ego is so huge, that because a woman says no to him, she's a C***....a lot hasn't changed.
I personally think this season is going to be the best yet.

Re: Soprano
I thought it would have been better. DH and I were laughing when AJ was crying for his mommy...

Nice wrap up Misty - I felt the same way about last night's ep. I thought the beginning montage was something they needed to show - so that we saw how time has passed and how things have changed with Tony no longer living there.
Cannot wait for the season to unfold...looking forward to the Russian storyline to pan out (hopefully).
