OMG, I thought that too!!! DH even said she looked like she put on weight when they showed her at first!

I think the whole point is that Tony knows he can get anyone and Dr. Melfi will be the one that he WON'T get {I hope not at least}!

Re: Soprano

I feel like they have new writers this season too. Some of the stuff they were saying was a little 'off'... like when Tony said that Dr. Melfi might not like the 'cut of his jib'. What the heck??? Tony doesn't talk like that. Plus, he looked like a goofball in that suit!!

Well, I didn't expect all the good stuff to just happen in the first episode. Right now, they are just sort of setting up other storylines. I thought people would think the first one wasn't that great anyway because once you're waiting for a show for like so long to come on, it gets way too hyped and is usually impossible to meet the expectations.

I was saying the same thing to my hubby last night.

Yup. I'm glad they brought up the whole incident with the Russian, though.... they dropped the ball on it last season, it's about time we heard something! I bet it won't be the end of it either.

Again, totally agree. Wasn't it weird when he said to Carmella 'ooo, rim shot!?!?', he looked like an idiot doing that!

Re: Soprano

I really enjoyed it!!

I had to remember that this season did not pick up exactly where last season left off so it makes sense that Janice & Bobby are married & that Meadow has a car, etc.

I loved it when Chris stuck Paulie with the bill and then Paulie asked to be paid back or else there would be a vig..LOL What was that waiter thinking?? They are so hilarious together.

I think Dr. Melfi has always been attracted to Tony but because of what he does she can't let herself have real feelings for him.

I am sure there will be some turmoil with Carmine having that stroke.

AJ with the bear was so funny - typical teenage boy

Interesting how it was always ducks in the back yard and now with the seperation, it's bears

I can't wait to see what happens with poor Adrianna & the FBI. This season looks good so far

HAHAHA...No freakin way was that Melfi's a$$. Danielle and I were thinking the same thing.

Question....What movie was that with Barbara Striesand that was on the tv, in the beginning scene with Tony's brunette bimbo?

I thought that Dr. Melfi's shrink wasnt supposed to be on this season. I thought I read something that he wasnt coming back for this season.

Mommy.......Mommy.....I could not believe that AJ was crying for his mommy....too funny.

Reminds me of a story my sister told me about my brother in law. They went to Pennsylvania for the weekend, camping I think and her Husband was filming with the video camera. All of a sudden he spotted big, huge Bear and was walking up to it filming it. He got a really close shot of the bear....The bear was looking for food, and was staring at Lance. He didnt even flinch...Lance. My sister was whispering for him to come back...but he wouldnt. My sister was scared sh*t....He has the video....You see the bear staring at Lance...but the bear never went after him or anything.

I agree with the ***!!! who do they think they are fooling??!!!

and don't restaurants automatically put a tip on parties of 6+??? I wasn't buying that one...

i think they are reaching...just to kill someone so the show wouldn't be a snoozer...

come on...we saw this episode already...every single scene was from an old episode...bear - ducks...gov't guy - Florio...some random guy is killed - some random guy is killed

but I will give it a chance...Steve Buschemi is one of my favorite actors...I hope he gives it to TONY!!!

Re: Soprano

Poor Florio....He cannot come back to this country...Tony has people keeping an eye out for him.

So that movie was called the Price of Tides...Ah I got it....duh.

Next week looks like a better episode.

It looks like it comes back to haunt them though.

Re: Soprano

In between seasons. Last night's show did not pick up where the last one left off - a year or more has passed since then.
