But I gotta say this. Part of me realizes that i'm just giving in to all of the drama by even writting this but it doesn't matter.
This isn't hate mail. I know nothing about you, your wedding, nor do I care to.
I do care thought that you do insult people, perhaps without realizing it, but you do. You do so without class and without tact.
If you think that 5k is a lot for wedding photography that's fine. You are intitled to your opinion, that I 100% agree on. However, the way in which you come across is not necessary. You think that 5k is a lot for photos. The key word here is you THINK. Without knowing for a fact I find it very hard to take you seriously with anything you say.
If you think a dress doesn't look good on a bride that too is your opinion. Perhaps there are even those out there that agree with you. However, when you keep mentioning that it was a 2010 bride who posted it and then even offered her user name to everyone you crossed the line.
If you expect us liw'ers to sit back and let you talk bad about others who have helped us out a lot and been there when other people haven't then I'm sorry but you are sadly mistaken.
Do i think there are SOME brides who overreact. Of course. But do onto others as you would have them do onto you. Correct?
You might be a bride but you are far from a lady.
Btw, this isn't necessarily a 100% bash against you. There are several comments and questions you have made which are very innocent and helpful to others. As in the 'real world' I would just perhaps think how others might interpret your responses before you answer.

Re: Sorry Legal Diva
So you are saying that if someone doesn't like certain photos or reviews, they shouldn't post?
Because when I re-read your post, thats what it sounds like. Its akin to the TOS that state vendors should have more Positive reviews than negatives.
I for one, am all for expressing opinions - even those that are hated. But as I've said before, people don't like to attack the message, they like to attack the messenger.
I'm not going to sit here and explain why the comments I made brushed certain people off the wrong way. All of this would have been much more 'classier' if it was sent via FM instead of on a message board - and I *HAVE* sent private FM to other brides when I see something that I believe could be improved, or could be explained further in the review.
Enough of this..

I actually think negative reviews of vendors should be put up. Not one's that totally rip them a new one, but just personal opinions from their own first hand experiences. I 100% do think they should be up. But, there's a way to say it without coming off wrong. Perhaps, 'I'm personally not a big fan of (enter dress/song/picture/vendor etc here). But if you love it that's all that matters. You will have a beautiful wedding regardless.'
I decided to post it publically b/c there are SOME things that you have said which i DO think were taken out of context. I give credit where credit is due.

Re: Sorry Legal Diva
Ok I said this on the 2010 board and I am going to say it again.
'You have to understand one thing: by commenting on someone's appearance, by saying things offensive, and by expressing this 'honesty' of yours, you are deeply offending people. Words need to be chosen wisely. It is neither nice nor appropriate to come out the way you have been. Regardless of what is said, being kind hearted is better than being bitter. There was no reason for the 'heavy set comment' or by dragging that stupid fight over here[to the 2010 boards]. To be honest with you that was not appropriate or smart. Please if you are going to post, please be respectable. It’s really enough now. '
So therefore, voice your opinions, fine, but you need to be classy about it. You really are being very offensive.

I agree with this.
If someone asked my opinion on the 'should I express my opinion' topic, I would say that if you don't like something, you should just keep mum about it.
Since you asked.
But then again, I bought my dress used and am a fat girl, so you might not want to consider what I said. Totally up to you.

I agree with this - but I don't understand how or why she makes such blanket generalizations like how much is too much to pay for wedding photography when she is 60 posts in and probably hasn't even started pricing photographers! How can you give such a strong opinion when you are ignorant? We are all learning from each other and helping each other out. She needs to get a grip and keep some of her uneducated, unmerited opinions (about weddings, not trying to be insulting) to herself.
Plus - I wish Blue Daisy cost only 5K$ - that woman's work is astounding!
