One of my bridesmaid (my best friend) just told me she can't come to my engagment party on Saturday (after she already RSVP'd yes) because her boyfriends cousin b-day party is the same day and she doesn't want him to go alone. AHHHHHHHHHH!!!

It is his second cousin's first b-day so I understand it is an important day but I think that she could come to our party and have him go to his cousins. Am I being selfish? It is just frustrating because this is my best friend and she knew about this party for months and cancels 4 days before.

you want to hear something wrose My bestfriend from high school said she was coming to my engagement party even the day before, I asked, 'are you sure your coming she said yes'. So she never showed up or called or sent a card nothing. I have not spoken to her since. Atleast have the common curtosy to say your not coming. We had to pay for her plate and her guest what a waste.

Foxhollowbride - that is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. Skipping out on your e-party 4 days before to attend a 1-year old birthday party? Please! It's unacceptable. She should go to both, OR she should go to yours. The only thing I can think of is maybe her boyfriend is giving her a hard time and she's insecure that he'll break up with her?
