so, my TA put a 'courtesy hold' on my HM! I just have to go in this week to put down a deposit!
Jan 14-21 Sandals St Lucia Grande! Penthouse Concierge Room. We can't finalize airfare bc it isnt out yet but most likely it is Air Jamaica direct flight ( well there is one stop but you stay on the plane)

noo that was more expensive - but that is the first upgrade, since i am booking with a sandals authorized TA. . . if any of those rooms are available i get it instead
BUT i kind of like my room better bc you get a patio with it . . .I didnt want the swim up one bc then wont random people be like swimming by your room? lol i am such an old lady!
here is a pic! if you go to the website you can take virtual tours of the rooms. . .the highest room is called the William Jefferson Clinton Suite - isnt that hysterical?

FH kept saying 'book whatever you want, iwill be happy anywhere'
so i just told him that i requested a room with no TV his face was like this:
but he didnt want to say anything, i wish i could have kept it up longer but i burst out laughing . . .
us? no TV? we are famous for spending an entire day watching TV in Aruba! lol we just started watching these stupid movies and next thing you knew it was dinner time and we didnt even enjoy one minute of sunshine! only for that day though, but we always watch TV no matter how great the place is!

It is the Most uncomfotable plane I have ever been on. It was also run down

that is the same room we had last summer
just beaware the grande only has 3 dinner resturants. and the italian is good but the menu doesnt change. The bayside is good they changeup the menu, we ended up eating there almost everynight. and the Irish ppub,. was not very good.
If you want to eat other places you have to take a van there and they arent that close. the closest one i think is at least 30 minaway.
The commuute from the airport to the hotel is almost 2 hours. In one of their crappy vans. I thin you can do a helicopter ride though. I dont think it is that much money.
Dont want to be negative. the grand is beautiful but for the money the grand bohemian was much nicer and better food choices.

that isnt worth it.
It just allows you to go striaght into the pool from your room but anyone can use that pool. But that pool is secluded and no one really uses it because there is no swim up bar for that pool.

i dont want you to think its not great.. the place itself was.. just disappointed with food choices since we didnt want to commute to the other hotels.
But the other things around it stink. like thr travel to and Air jamaica

I heard St. Lucia is beautiful and Sandals is also beautiful! The room is gorgeous as well! It must be so exciting to plan the honeymoon - I can't wait to plan ours! Good luck with the rest of the HM planning!
