A question I need answered.......

I know most bridal showers tend to be a surprise on LI for the bride.

Is this the same for BABY showers on LI?

I just got an invite to my DH's friend's GFs baby shower December 30 and neither one of us knew if it was a surprise or not, and I don't know the family throwing it, and I don't want to ask the couple expecting in case it is a surprise.

HELP!

ETA: The RSVP was by e-mail and I asked in my RSVP, but haven't heard back.

Usually they are a surprise. For my one SIL, it was a complete surprise & she was so happy it was that way! I don't think you truly peek at that registry.

For my other SIL, it was not a surprise as she lived OOT & we needed to get her here. So we told her about it but she was still surprised to see how generous people were.

Why not call the RSVP number & ask them if it is a surprise this way you don' slip up?

I would just assume it's a surprise unless the couple says something to you.

Any baby shower I've been to has been a surprise....as long as the expecting mother doesn't find out before

usually its a surprise but I would not ask the couple. Why would you need to???

most of the time its just woman, but sometimes its jack & jill which means co-ed. The invite would have said jack & jill if it was.

I know I didn't know about mine but DH knew everything.
But I ended up finding out 2 weeks before lol
They are usually a surprise though

Usuallly the father to be will know about it bc usually they are the ones that get the expectant mother to the shower...So ask DH's friend!

Usually they are but women always know

It is usually a surprise unless you ask for one yourself.

Yeah, do you know if the rsvp was HER e-mail?? I would just assume it's a surprise if you don't know so you don't spill the beans!!
