OK..after long discussions & weighing pros & cons we decided to setthe date for June 5th, 2010 at the crescent beach club (booking this week) YAY.. So here is the question... What should I have done already? Everyone has been telling me that I am way behind the eight ball.. But Am I really?
1- ordered my dress 2- figured out the bridal party 3- in the middle of writing a guest list Should I be booking he band now??? or the florist???
Also... anyone have any recommendations for a great band? or florist?
I am doing a beach wedding.. I have been looking everywhere for good invites & programs...
anyway..any info you give me would be great ...This is so much fun..hehe

YES Book all your major vendors ASAP so you still have a choice of your favorite vendors and don't have to worry about not getting someone for your day.

i would at least start looking into photographer/videographer, band/dj, etc bc a lot of these vendors book up far in advance....if you want your first choice then i would def start doing it soon.

Do the photographer/viedographer and the DJ first b/c if there is one specific person you want, well they can only do one wedding a day (some companies 2 or 3 depending on how large their staff) where as florists can usually do more than one wedding. Also you'll be spending all day with the photo/video and DJ guys so you want to ensure they are people you can work with. the Florist you only have to be guaranteed a good product and in my opion almost all the florists can pull together anything you dream of..

im in july and all i have is rh..
but we shouldd be putting down on deposit for photo on wed..
after that were doing (in this order)

I'm the same date as you and I have the following:
Church RH Band Limos Photo Video Flowers Bridal Party Rough draft of guest list
BUT.........I'm REALLY ahead of the game. I'm probably going to start looking at dresses in the next month or so, and then BM dresses over the summer.
I would definitely get all of your major vendors booked up asap though, as Saturday nights in June go FAST.

DJ/Band and photo are most important b/c they book up quickly.
I booked the band Heart & Soul and love them.
Photographer...Imagine Studios is amazing

And you are not too late...I am still in the midst of trying to book vendors. So just start looking around. And be sure to ask us or help....we all have been looking around and we all have info to share.

I def think Photog and video next. That is like the second most important thing because those are your memories and you want it to be the best.
