South Beach Diet

So I'm trying to lost some of my belly fat before bathing suit season. I did the South Beach diet last year and I lost about 10 pounds (I gained back about 5...not too bad). The problem is I can't find my book and I don't rembmer what fruits/vegetable are good to eat during the first 2 weeks (phase 1). Can anybody help me???
P.S. I'm also going to the gym around 4 times a week

Re: South Beach Diet

It says, 'Avoid all fruits and fruit juices in Phase 1'

That's why I have such a problem with it

Once you get into it, it's fine. For me it's just getting started on it again. Especially with a nice fresh pineapple staring me in the face

Good Luck!

Re: South Beach Diet

i have loads of grea recipes but this is great a few nights a week b/c the p. butter is fattening and will stall your loss...
but you can make it w/out p. butter too...

1 sugar free fat free fudgsicle (i prefer store brand)
2 tbsp. cool whip lite (put towards your 75 cal./day sweet tread)
2 tbsl. natural p. butter chunky or smooth your choice.

i put the fudgsicle in the microwave for 15 sec.
take off stick and chop up w/ knife

add cool whip and p. butter and mix to your taste - creamy chunky whatever you like...
then put back in the freezer and eat when ready
i let it defrost a bit or else it's too hard.
it's sooo good

the fruit i don't miss when i eat this dessert

Re: South Beach Diet

i have loads from another message board that i'm on
the best part is i learned so much about eating foods that aren't whole wheat, that don't ahve hydrogenated oils in them and more.
if you want the link, let me know.
people have lost like 100 lbs. it was very helpful
that's why i am not on here as much b/c i go on the s. beach boards now!
