FH and I wanna do a quick/relatively cheap 5 day trip somewhere and I thought South Beach would be great (I love it there!)
Can any of you recommend a fun inexpensive hotel thats close to the beach and ocean drive?

Kent Hotel
Shore Club (not cheap but nice sometimes great package rates)

flights going are non stop- but returning are connecting best rates per person is 506 with flights and hotel-
i don't know if you know this but South Beach has awesome Halloween Parties so ur going down at a busy time....

Most of the hotels on ocean ave are relatively the same, with the exception of the really expensive ones. They are all little art deco-ish places. The first time I ever went we stayed at Waldorf towers and the elevator freaked me out. It was like a little wooden box with hardly any door. But the rooms were nice and it was literally a hop skip and a jump away from the beach. South Beach is such a fun place that has SOOO much to do, that you barely do anything at the hotel ur staying at. But I def recommend staying on Ocean Ave. I also stayed at the Delano for New Years once. That place is great but I believe it's up there in price. Have Fun!!!

i use to live in Sobe for 3 yrs best time in my life
FH and I are thinkin of makin a major move there

Everytime I go there I always tell FH that I wanna live there just for 1 year. I'm sure its different tho when your not vacationing. We actually have an apt being built in a new building on Biscayne Blvd in downtown Miami. I can't wait til its finished. South Beach is great.

I stayed at the palms for one night right before we got on a cruise...it was really nice and the food was awesome

life is SO much better.
every winter i take 2 mths off and go down there bc i hate the cold. i just can't wait till he finishes school so we can get outta NYC lol and lifestyle is so much better laid back less stress.
we have a condo there as well but eh, i like hotels. lol i like not fixin my bed.

when i went to miami i pricelined the sh*t out of it!! i picked south beach, 4 star, bid $75/night and got an awesome hotel!!!

if u can up ur budget- 1650. air hotel non stop flights to Puerto Rico stayin in a 4**** hotel
San Juan Water and Beach Club-
and I could tell u more...But to be honest- 1500 4 nights for SOBE u can get the following weekend cheaper and nicer hotel JMO

no it's not!
In the Keys during ur dates is Fantesy Fest!
so most flights connect into Miami...so that may be why flights are high BUT!! since u told me what your budget is...i can totally work with that- Caribbean-is always a plus....i can check and it's not bother @ All!
