South Street Seaport

Do you girls know of any fun restuarant and bars to go to here? My MOH and I are thinking of doing this for my bach . Party. Also do you know of any decent hotels in the area?

love the south street seaport, i went to college in downtown brooklyn so I spent 4 years hanging around that area.

i'm not sure it's great for a bach party tho...its mostly tourists and ppl stopping in restaraunts during shopping...and the nightlife dies down there pretty early.

RED is pretty good for drinks, happy hour type scene

Il Porto is an italian restaraunt that's pretty good too.

Sequoia is nice but if you want more of a party/bar scene and you'll be around on a friday night, there are a handful of places on Stone Street ... it's really busy on weeknights during the nice weather -- benches in the street sort of thing ...

If you decide to go to a more bachelorette kind of night, there's the Iron Horse on Cliff Street. They have a swing on the bar for ladies to well... swing on.

I'd recommend Cabana, a pan-Latin restaurant with lively atmosphere. They have large menu, good drinks, and live latin jazz nights in the summertime out on their patio.

You might want to look into the following hotels in the area:
NY Marriott Downtown
Millenium Hilton
Embassy Suites Hotel NY

I raised in Battery Park City, which is a 10 min walk from the Seaport. Feel free to FM me if you have any questions.

I second Cabana. Never been there during the winter, but they have floor to ceiling windows so you have nice views! The MOJITOS are awesome!!!
