SO..Who's had a barbecue recently?

lol well the 10 for 10 is mix and match..LOL here's your bottle of ketchup, and here's YOUR bottle of ketchup..

Thanks. I probably am. I throw parties together all the time, but this is for FH's birthday and I want it to go well. Also I've never really thrown a BBQ before. We have them at my house, but they're totally thwon together. Thanks Liz. I need to calm down!

I'm thinking of having a small BBQ for FH's birthday (under 10 people) but I've never had a BBQ before. What do I need?

the torches are a waste - they don't keep ANY bugs away!

and I don't think you should have to be responsible for other people's sunblock. If they need it, they'll bring it.


Don't forget BBQ Sauce!

If you want to just slap some BBQ sauce on the chicken, you can get 'chicken parts' - (that's how they're sold).

If you want to marinate them in Italian dressing (my FAV for a bbq), then get chicken cutlets. (they're boneless.)

and i think you can nix the ziti. You'll make the apt. all hot by using the oven to heat up the ziti, and I think you have plenty of other food.

and MOST people (not all) like American cheese on their burgers, not cheddar.

You can cut down this list, and DEFINITELY save some $$$ without it looking cheesy.

For the chicken, they just sell a package of ...chicken part? and I coat them in BBQ sauce?

if you could see the look on my face you would laugh...I'm like

i love my sister's grill she just bought. It has 2 grill paltes, so we designated one as vegetarian only and one as meat only.

It's just a whole chicken, cut up. You'll get breasts, thighs, wings, legs. (several of them - depending on the size of the package you buy.) That's the cheapest way to buy chicken. And yes, just SLAP that chicken with some slimy bbq sauce.

I'm dyin over here. Better make FH do the chicken!

the hamburger and the hot dogs are easier to manage cause they're sort of compact, they're frozen, and they don't look like animals.
