Speaking of global warming, look what JUST HAPPENED!!!

I was just checking out the news online and an ancient ice shelf breaks free of canadian arctic.

OMG that is so scary...

btw this is why i love this site - i stated on the other board that i was not too informed about this topic and wanted to learn more

and now i just read three VERY interesting things about it and i am able to educate myself a little more ( this article, the other post and the article on polar bears)

WOW! I'm going to read that too

just so odd i finished watching an inconvenient truth (slow day at work watching movies all day) and i heard that it was cracked. I find it amazing as we as a nation who have been out of isolationism since the roosevelt admin and into prodominate roles in human issues but yet we can not simply look at how we as a nation can set the role for fighting against enviromental causes such as global warming. GW is not a myth as some politicians and fossil fuel companies wish us to think. And this is the prime example.

very well said...maybe this will open some peoples eyes

Waht really bothers me is what our children will have to deal with. honestly it really is up to our generation to DO SOMETHING!!!

Think of all the momentum our parents' generation had with social change...we've gotten lazy and been spoonfed too much!
