speaking of how expensive it is to live on long island...

So many of our posts are about saving up for a home or not being able to afford a house on Long Island or a nice apartment.

I wanted to let you know about this rally that Action Long Island is hosting at 5:30 on October 16th at Farmindale College.

This is a very important cause to all of us...

exactally why we moved to buffalo.
there are 2 bed 1 bath apartments here for $500-$800 a month and houses are sooooooooo much cheaper.

say a house is $800k on LI it would be $150-$250k here

I am involved with this group - their goal is to increase the housing stock for our generation through rental units, next generation housing, etc.

It's important to let our representatives know that this is an issue and that we will not be quiet anymore (as we, as a generation, have in the past)

I hope others who post on this board all the time about the expensive cost of housing also DO something about those complaints - a good way is to attend this rally!
