Speaking of slips.............

Speaking of slips.............

I am wearing a chiffon dress, it's slim fitting, although not exactly straight.
All the bridal slips, even the Aline ones are either poofy along the way, or at the bottom with gathers.
Does anyone know where I can get a SLIM Aline bridal slip???

Thanks - Liz

I need a slip for an Aline but don't want it puffy

Re: Speaking of slips.............

Ooh Betty, I see I'm not the only one
Why do they think all brides need a poofy skirt? When I was trying my dress on, they gave me what they called the slim a line, but it still had those ruffles on the bottom poofed up my skirt. Darn it
When I find a slip I'll be sure to let you know

Re: Speaking of slips.............

Tara, so far that is the best I've seen, at least it doesnt have the ruffles. Thanks
What I would REALLY like is one w/a more flowly material and a wee bit slimmer - I know I'm such a brat

Re: Speaking of slips.............

I know Liz. My dress is Aline and already puffy (has crinoline attatched) but they tell me I NEED to wear another slip (they were trying to get me to wear a puffy one). I want a regular A line...NO PUFF

Re: Speaking of slips.............

Isnt that crazy??? If it already has crinoline, why do you need another slip?
At least with mine I understand b/c it only has layers of chiffon and crepe, and may be a bit see through
But I want NO PUFF TOO !!!!!!

Re: Speaking of slips.............

even though the dress has crinoline, you have to wear a slip so it doesnt gather between your legs when you walk.

Try it with and without youll see.

Thanks wacky, I was wondering why betty would need another slip. Now, anything for me????

Re: Speaking of slips.............

Lizlen I know the slips look poofy but a 1 layer should be good. I had the same problem, once the slip is ironed and flatned its not that poofy.

Re: Speaking of slips.............

but wacky, how about those darn ruffles, except the one tara posted, that wasnt bad. I'm just concerned the slip will mess up the flow of my chiffon.

I want a flowing one, waaa waaa waaa

Re: Speaking of slips.............

That's the least poofy slip I could find. Maybe if it's still a little too full, some tulle could be cut out? I dunno, just a thought...

Re: Speaking of slips.............

If I have a layer of crinoline under my dress (already sewn in) fo I really need to wear another slip (of crinoline)? I'm afraid you will be able to see the waist band of the slip. My dress has beading at the top and bottom but the middle is plain and I'm afraid you will see the line. I don't want to wear any
