speaking of subways....

I would advice to never sit on the benches..When I used to work in the city, I saw all the time bumbs with their shoes off, and crusty naste feet on the benches, no way it my butt sitting on that....EWE

True... but I'd rather have my butt with the germs than on my hands!!! The polls are the grossest things EVER!!!!!!

Just think about how many people touch them... 100X more than the benches!

yes, and I keep anitbacterial on my at all times, so I can quickly rinse my hands from touching the rails.

I could never hold onto the poll...it is so gross...you see people picking their noses or licking the ketchup off their fingers and then hanging all over the poll..GROSS!

I sit and I hold the polls and I have never gotten any infectious disease- germs are everywhere- your toothbrush has more germs than the poll on the subway.

Me too - I sit and hold poles as well. I used to be real particular in the beginning, I would just lean against the end doors. But then a friend told me, 'Eww don't lean on there, thats where everyone urinates.' I was like... ok I am not going to balance myself through the car with no hands and no sitting because I DEFINTELY don't want to end up on the floor!!!!

No unexplained ailments yet... I wash my hands as soon as i get in.

been riding the subway for almost 15 years...never got any wierd germs. Your toilet at home has more germs than the poles!!

If anyone happened to watch The Amazing Race last Thursday, you would rather lick the floor of the NYC subways than have to go through what those people did. I still can't get the images out of my head.
