Are you supposed to tip your photographer/videographer? I'm not planning to especially since I requested the photog/videog to go to FHs house to take pics and they said they had to charge me an extra $100 to pay them.
What is the norm? I'm already paying close to $8K for their services.

We are definitely tipping them. We are having 2 photogs, a videographer, and someone working a photobooth. We'll probably do about $100, $50, $100, $50, but i'm not positive yet.

I think the norm is to tip them $100-$150 each.

I don't think that's necessarily right or true. While my photographer may own the company, it's a small business and he's personally going to be busting his butt for 12+ hours the day of my wedding.

i tipped photographer/videographer. And yeah i tip even if its the owner. Well for example look a photojournalistic photographers, yes they are technically the owners but not like they have other employee's the make money off of, i guess might be different if the owner of a big photography company does your wedding and has many employee's but theres also alot of independent photographers.

You're right. I guess in the grand scheme of it all what's a few hundred dollars extra when we're already spending so much on everything else. I don't want to offend anyone and make them think they weren't doing a good job.

its completely up to you and what you feel comfortable with. On the boards i always see mixed answers, but everyone did what they felt right doing so you do the same. I would just ask your FH how he feels about the situation. I had an independent photojournalistic photographer and didnt go through a photography company so i had a different situation.

Re: speaking of tips....I was wondering??
I was thinking of def tipping photog bc she will still have my pics, and I want her to take good care of them LOL And that's true Denise, I never thought of that. Mine is the owner, but she has no other employees.
