Hi, i think i'm the most unusual member of this forum, but i hope you'll help me anyway. First of all, i'm not from USA, but i'm planning to visit ny in the summer. since i'm getting married next year, i thought i could be orginial and get a wedding dress in NY (where else)... Since this is a limited visit, and i won't have too much time to search for a dress i thought maybe someone can share with me where can i find a dress (my limit is 5,000-6,000, but maybe i can more flexible).
thanks in advance!!

Re: special request
The problem is, i don't have too much time to spend on searching, i'm going to be in NYC for a week or so, and i don't want to spend my time only on this...
so this is why i thought you can recommend on some places, and it'll save me time.
i mentioned before my limit is 5,000 but if i could spend 2,500 or 3,000 it would be better, is it possible in kleinfeld?

Re: special request
First of all thank for your help :) I looked in Kleinfled's webcite and it looks great, and i read something about that it takes 6-9 months to deliever the dress, is it only if i want to design a dress of my own? i can't buy a dress in the same day if i find a dress?

Re: special request
They say it takes6- 9 months for the dress to come in from the day u order it. I don't think you can buy one same day, but I could be wrong.

Re: special request
HIII, umm i don't think you can buy a dress from any where on the same day because you have to do the fittings and adjusments unless you find the dress that you absolutely love and take it back home and have it altered there...just a suggestion ;)

Re: special request
You should try Saks! I got my Priscilla of Boston dress there and they were amazing.
I had such a great experience, an awesome selection (a lot in that price range) and they ship anywhere in the world.
If you will be back they can do multiple fittings in two days.
Imo is who helped me and she was just fantastic.
FM me if you are interested!

Re: special request
welcome and congrats!
I would also suggest Kleinfelds or Saks. Maybe if you try on some dresses in Israel, you will get a better idea of what you want and what looks good on you so you wont waste time searching for your style when you come here.

Re: special request
Dresses take a while to be ordered and shipped, so you may have to 'rush' the dress order, I believe Kleinfelds does that and so does RK bridal in NYC, (RK is not a glamorous as Kleinfelds but it has much better prices than most bridal shops if you want to check it out as well)
We also share the same wedding date!
Good luck!

Re: special request
Kleinfeld's is it, I would say. You can buy a sample that you try on at the store (though some stores don't let you buy all samples, because they need them . . . . they do have sample sales though. So, just about every dress is ordered, and they do take 6-9 months unless you pay more for a rush order.
Congrats and welcome to the boards!
