Specific Tipping question

When you tip the maitre'd that (aside from the 'gratuity that is in the bill anyway). Are you expected to tip the wait staff separately or is the Maitre 'd splitting it with them. I mean if you are expected to tip the Maitre 'd like 300-500 plus, we are not expcted to do another 300-500 extra too right?


I know they work hard & deserve the payment, but at this point tipping may be more than some vendors for goodness sake...

Quite frankly I am getting worried that I cannot afford all the tips!

Well there usually is an 18% gratuity included in your final payment for the RH. The ONLY people you need to tip are the maitre'd and your Bridal Attendant. Everyone else is covered by the gratuity included in your bill.

Also the coat check and valet are included in mine, and they are covered by the gratuity, make sure you tell your guests they are not expected to tip them!
