Speech...

Any of my fellows Brides making a speech? I was just thinking maybe this would be a nice touch thank everyone for coming or say something sweet about my new DH

What do you girls think?

Sounds like a cute idea. I am not making a speech. I'm not a big fan of talking in front of a huge group of people.

I thought about a thank you speech too, FH doesn't want to bc he gets too nervous speaking. Although I know a lot ppl say their thank yous at the rehearsal dinner instead so its more intimate.

i think it's a good idea if you want to do it!

personally, i dont want to because i know my BM and two MOHs are already making speeches. I don't want to bore people! sometimes it gets a little drawn out. i was at one wedding once where teh BM spoke for 30 minutes! then the MOH, then the MIB, then the FIB, then the DH and then the bride.

it was INSANE. about an 1 1/2 hours of speeches

We are going to say something at the RD. We will have 60 people there...all our BP, family and close friends.

I am not going to but my best friend made a speech for me and my FH and gave me her bouquet instead of throwing it-- it was reallly sweet!!!!!

i think I am instead of walking around to each table lol. I will walk around to some through out the night when I feel like it lolol

we're aren't making a speech at the wedding but we plan on doing a small one at the reception dinner to thank everyone before we hand out the gifts.

At the end of the night FH and I will probably thank everyone for coming but that will be the extent of it and I will probably make him do all the talking!
