speed of RSVP arrival. . .

speed of RSVP arrival. . .

When do you tend to see most of the RSVPs come in? I'm starting to get worried about the fact that we've only heard about 85/227 people. . .I know that there's time, but I figured we would have heard from more people already.

Also, did you find that there were a lot of surprises over who was saying no? A few friends of mine from college said no, and I was REALLY shocked.

Do you tend to see a huge wave of them a week before the RSVP deadline?

You have a lot more back than I do so far, and I think we mailed ours just a little before you. When is your RSVP date? Mine's June 5th, and we mailed ours April 1st.

I have back about 40 / 175, but it's really more like 20 RSVP cards out of 96 invitations sent.

This is why I should NEVER be entrusted with the responsibility of setting a deadline. . .I set my RSVP date for June 27th because I thought the RH needed the head count the week of, giving us 2 weeks to make the necessary calls and e-mails. Now, after the invites are out, the head count is magically due on July 1st. God damnit. I'm so screwed.

I know why a couple of people are waiting (significant others/spouses waiting to hear from work), but 141 people? Seriously, don't tell me verbally, send in the damned card. . .but DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE DUE DATE!

So, girls who have gone through the invite process, when did you see the bulk of the RSVPs arrive?

Most came in the beginning and at the end, with a lag in the beginning. Have a family member ask some of the people to get a feel for if they're coming--this usually expedites them sending back their card.

Well our RSVP deadline is a week from tomorrow, and we've only heard from 94 Yes, 20 No. You have time.

I might have to try the family member route! Good call.

that usually works but seriously you do have time. I set my RSVP date for June 3rd and sent out my invites last week. I have 21 people who responded.

The bulk of ours came in the last 10 days. About 35 cards were missing on the due date and they trickled in slowly but also required calls and some people (very few) still never rsvp'd - which means I have no seat for them.
