Spel - question for you. . .
I saw your post about the timing of your wedding. Mine is the same and I have a 1/2 hour drive between the church and hall. I'm stressing majorly about this. My photographer suggested seeing each other before the ceremony, but my FI and I feel very strongly about not seeing each other until the church. What are you doing? We think we are going to skip the receiving line, get the pictures started and then greet everyone at the cocktail hour. I'd love to hear your plans!

Re: Spel - question for you. . .
our drive from the church to the reception is less than 15 minutes. we are doing all of our pictures before the ceremony at the church (beautiful landscaping). i felt strongly about not missing my cocktail hour and i'm actually very excited about seeing my fh before i walk down the aisle. i think it will be nice to spend some time with him before the festivities begin. in your case, it seems like you will have to miss the receiving line/cocktail hour and take your pictures very quickly since pictures take so long. if you talk to your photographer about your concerns i'm sure they can work with the tight schedule, it must happen a lot! good luck!

Re: Spel - question for you. . .
Thanks! I don't want to miss the cocktail hour either, thats why we're not having the receiving line. We figure we can do the line at the cocktail hour. But, I really don't want to see him any earlier than at the church - my photographer was the one who suggested not having the receiving line. If the mass ends at 11:45 and then we're at the hall by 12:30, that gives us 30 minutes, so maybe we'll only miss 1/2 the cocktail hour - I don't know what to do. . .
