Spelling Question for Groomsmen

Hi Ladies-
This is really making me nuts because I can't make up my mind and it sounds like a very silly question. To ask my bridal party I am making softball jerseys since my FH is very into baseball.
If I make each shirt for each groomsmen, do I write 'Groomsman' or 'Groomsmen'
Thanks!

If it's the team, like 'The Mets', then it's 'Groomsmen' referring to the entire group.

if you're referring to one person, he's a singular 'Groomsman'

I see a lot of people mistake this, even on company websites, so you're not alone

I know that is what is killing me...Most websites just refer to them as 'Groomsmen' even when talking about a single person.
If I am making T-shirts for each person and the term 'groomsman' is going on the back in place of a name- than 'groomsman' is the correct spelling?
I have this correct right? I don't want to spend a lot of money on shirts and have it wrong.
