I just booked Spelman for 10/20! I think Christine is awesome. My co-worker used her last year & their pics are perfect. I'm really looking forward to Christine's candid & classy style. I blew my photo budget out of the water, but i figured that the pics are the only thing I'll have left so I should go for it.

I booked Spelman for my 7/4/03 wedding. Christine is so nice. She did my MOH's wedding 11/00, and her pics are georgeous. She said her proofs were ready when she got back from her honeymoon, and Chrisitne had picked out pictures for her album for her. She made a few changes, but was really happy with the ones Christine took. She takes the time to learn the names of all the 'major players' so that at your wedding she's not saying 'Mother of the Bride' but 'Mary' And my FH and I were guests at the wedding and honestly don't remember seeing her or her videographer. They were so unobtrusive.
My FH and I recently took a few pictures with Christine for our Save THe Dates. She was really accomodating, and you would not believe the turnaround time. I saw the negatives less than a week later, and will pick up the picture itself soon.

My fiance and I met with Christine, too, and really loved her. She also seemed to be a good 'middle of the road' option for our budget. However, she just sent us a demo video and it was just awful! I was soooo disappointed. We are planning from out of town and really want to use the same place for both photo and video (plus, in my experience with other weddings, it makes things go so much smoother when the two are not tripping over each other but know how to work well together from the get-go). Have any of you had other experiences you could share? We were really considering booking her, but now I'm not sure anymore... Thanks!!

If you really want video from them, I agree, the quality was not very good. I don't really mind using video and photos from 2 different people, they are all professionals and I'm sure they will do well together.
