Spin Around Sound

For those that used them, how far in advance did you meet with them to go over your music list? Did they call you or did you call them?

We booked with them many months ago. But since then, we never got a bill or call for our midway payment (unlike all our other vendors). When we realized we missed it (2 mos later), we called them. It took awhile for them to call us back and when they did they said things are crazy and they forgot.

Now less than a month before my wedding, we haven't heard from them. FI has called and emailed them several times and they have not returned his calls. Totally opposite of how they originally were in the booking stages.

Just wanted to see what everyone else experience was?

That hasn't been my experience so far. Any time I had a question or concern, I just emailed Tom. He got back to me right away (within a day or two). I sent payment for our midway payment without any bill from SAS so I can't comment on that. I still have about 6 months until my wedding.

My wedding is in two weeks & I'm mostly paid in full-I went to his house to make my last payment & he mentioned going over our list-I'm going to email him now & see if I can set something up.

We used them 3 months ago (exactly today!!) and I also just mailed in my payment.. as for music selection, with our hectic schedules & Tom's as well, we were unable to meet as we had wanted to, so I emailed & mailed the hard copy to Tom... it was fine because really the music selection is your own thing. But if you are having trouble picking songs, then definately meet with them! But with SAS I would not worry if you mailed it to him... he'll follow it exactly!

Well Good News, he finally returned our call. He left a message saying he was too busy today but would review our stuff on Sunday and call us on Monday. He said they had scheduled 7 weddings for this weekend and normally do 2 or 3 which I thought was strange!

I'll talk to him on Monday. We wouldn't mind doing things via email rather than in person but I just want acknowledgement that he got them in a timely fashion. When a vendor takes a week to get back to you ... you start to get nervous about their reliability!

ugh - one of those 7 weddings is mine! We booked Tom in March of last year, and he told me 2 days ago that he'll be arriving during out cocktail hr. I was a little peeved at first since we booked HIM, but it's just the background music for the cocktail hr. We'll see. He has been difficult to reach - I left him a message about 2 weeks ago that went unanswered, and then left another message - he called me back 2 days later.

I'll be back with a full report in 2 weeks!

isn't that funny! i had to cancel my appt. w. him last week - and still haven't heard back since to reschedule . he must be SUPER busy - I am not worried....yet!!!!

I didn't talk to him really at all - except by email...

I did get a phone call when I forgot about the 2nd payment...but that was it...

I emailed him my song list and introductions etc..

and everything woked out perfectly..

Seconding what Yabbobay says. We planned from Boston and e-mailed everything. We had Anthony and Anthony do our wedding since Tom was already booked and they did a great job. We did manage a quick phone call with Anthony the DJ the day before, just to be sure we were on the same page. Everything should go fine.

I do have to say from the time I posted he has called twice and left a email...just letting us know he will call us with info. It makes me feel better.

We just want to know when we have to get him everything and ask a few simple questions. I don't mind doing everything via email just would like some kind of contact. We haven't looked into our songs so we just want to but a timeframe around it!
