Spin off: from lanabean’s post

I am with Lanabean, I don’t like posting any personal stuff on here, ya never know who is reading it. But I take it a step further I never post a picture of my self. Does anyone not like posting pictures of themselves, its like revealing too much or something. I know weird, but not sure why I don’t like the idea of my picture floating around out there in cyberspace.

It kinda s u c k s cause sometimes I want to share but then I think twice. Like when I had my last hair trail which I loved, I wanted to post but didn’t. I guess I can be a very private person.

I was glad though when one day I saw a girl post a picture of her and her FH and I knew him. And I had met her before and he knows some of my friends , so you just never know who will pop up on here. I know I am paranoid. But just wondering if anyone else felt this way.

Pictures, no, I don't have a problem with that. I would never post addresses or locations or anything like that. I do understand your fear though, not uncommon at all!!!!

I totally hear you. FH's ex is such a psycho, I worry about the things she could do to ruin my wedding day. FH and her have a kid so it's not like she's completely out of the picture. All of her friends are getting married now so I know she knows about this site. I keep as much as I can private just in case she reads. I know I sound totally paranoid, but the things she is capable of doing and has no qualms about doing is seriously disturbing.

Well I;m kinda knew to chat boards this is my first. And I love it, I am a little addicted like my FH says all the time.

PS: After the wedding I do plan on posting a review with some pictures, cause I really loved reading everyone else's so I feel like I should share. Just not sure how long I would keep the pictures up.

I would worry about using LIW for my wedding website because guests can see your screen name and I would be paranoid they would come on the chat board and see not only any venting but how much you may have said you paid for things and stuff like that.

Also...very important for New Brides.... I've notice a LOT of you putting your MOH & Best Man's first AND LAST name.... I don't think that's a good idea. I know I personally wouldn't want that info out there if I was one.

I agree with the picture thing, it really does not bother me. Personal info, is another story. I mean if people ask what town I live in, ok I'll tell them, once they ask 'What Street' it's time to get a little nervous.
We are all here for the same reason, planning a wedding, getting great ideas and even making new friends. I personally like seeing who the people are that I am conversing with day in and day out on here, kind of makes it feel a little more personal.
I do not post my own personal issues with my FH, Family, etc... I will ask for advice on some topics when I need a helping hand. It's true, you never know who is reading this

This is a good point. This is why I don't have a website on here.

I don't have a problem with posting pictures. I would never post anything really personal like address (email or postal) or phone numbers or anything. I also rarely vent about anything, and the things I do vent about, if those people saw what I wrote I wouldn't really care because they deserve it.

I dont think id get to personal with problems or those vent kinda post's though,,

,, O had one where it was just a story ,, but i wouldnt get that personal here as ya ever know who is reading it ,

As for having a website, sooner or later we will be on the intyernet when we register ,, lol

Nah...I like posting pictures! And I love putting faces with names. If there were no pics, this site would stink, IMO! I love seeing all the pretty brides!

Funny thing is I agree with you in that Pictures make everything more interesting. I never past up a post that say 'pic include', that is why I will post pics once I do my review.
